It's where you feel stifled and must do whatever you can to bide your time. I felt that the entire trip home to see my dad. And I ate. A LOT! Fighting "acedia" is key to giving up reckless eating/drinking/moping and go about the business of living. I have...Stress is the biggest factor to overeating. I have always believed it's not so much what you eat but quantity. People tend to feel as though they have to eat everything on their plate. Alot of us had parents , who had parents that grew up in the depression era. To combat that thinking I take smaller portions on my plate. If I want to eat in excess then I grab the veggies and crackers and cheese. You would be amazed how quickly you can fill up on a few crackers with REAL cheese.
