FIRE AND WATER

From the Astronomy Picture of the Day website. The aurora over a lake in Alaska. And if you look very closely under the aurora and towards the center their is also a meteor falling to earth at the same time. A nearly miraculous shot.

My dad swears that the Northern Lights, at times, could be seen from Southern Kansas many years ago.  I sure wish I'd seen them.

I love how it is reflected in the water, making a sort of yin/yang. --Cin

I've seen the Aurora Borealis, but never as beautiful as this.  Of course, I've never been to Alaska.
