He's right they are not just your kids. We have to live with the possibly bigoted, racist, proudly ignorant results. Just as the rest of us have had to work around your racism, bigotry and proud ignorance. It works the other way. "I don't have kids so why do I have to pay for other people's kids to go to school. Well unless you plan on doing everything, and I do mean everything, yourself you better hope other pleaple's kids are getting a relly good education.
Are you going to design and build your house, including the plumbing and the wiring? Are you going to take out your own appendix? Set your broken bones? Are you going to somehow check all your food and any drugs for safety? Your water for contamination? See where I'm going with this? We live in a community and we are only as strong as the weakest link in the chain.
