I tried to confirm the weekly death toll. I suspect this total might be for the Month of August. Trying to find a simple total was like bailing out a boat with a sieve. They've got bar graphs and line graphs and none of them have the information you are really lookling for.
Anyway last weekly death toll was over three hundred. In any case they died quietly. Often no familily with them. Surrounded by machinery. One by One. No one lowers flags for them. Sets out full beer mugs on empty tables. Calls on the nation to avenge them. It's like the water torture. Drip. Drip. Drip. As you slowly go mad. Or get really, really, mad. It's still more than died in that bomb attack in Kabul.
