Ten thousand galaxies. A tiny fraction of the sky.A composite shot of countless Hubble telescope shots enhanced with various light wave frequencies from infra red to ultra violet. Scientists can measure the dominant wavelengths of the light coming from the galaxies and assign a false color to them. Bright blue indicates strong star formation. Red, possible redshift implying the galaxy is retreating relative to us. Bright jewels on black velvet. The article with the picture didn't go into the distances. I'm assuming hundreds if not thousands of lights years for each one. The only true time travel we have right now.
